Listen up, folks, we’re gonna talk about this Japan astrology thingy. You know, the stars and all that. Not sure what good it does, but some folks swear by it.

They say there’s these animal signs, like a rat and an ox. Dunno why they picked animals, but whatever. Apparently, you gotta add up your birthday numbers, somethin’ like that. They told me I was a horse, which is funny ’cause I ain’t never ridden one. Guess it means somethin’ to them star people.

  • Rat: Supposed to be smart, they say. Like those city rats that get into everything.
  • Ox: Strong and stubborn, like my old mule.
  • Tiger: Brave, but maybe a bit wild, you know?
  • Rabbit: Well, they say cat in Japan, but it’s the same thing, right? Quiet and gentle, I reckon.

Then there’s this dragon thing. Sounds scary, like somethin’ outta fairy tales. And a snake? Don’t much like snakes. But they got ’em on the list, so there ya go.

They also talk about these “elements.” Wood, fire, earth… like the stuff you cook with and build with. Said I was “fire” which don’t make sense, ’cause I get cold easy. Maybe they got it mixed up.

Now, they say this astrology stuff can tell your future. Hogwash, I say. But some folks pay good money to hear about it. They got folks in Tokyo, that’s in Japan, writin’ charts and tellin’ fortunes. Wish I could make money tellin’ folks stories.

Someone told me there’s websites where you can find your sign and read all about it. “Discover your future!” they say. Scary accurate, they claim. I ain’t scared of nothin’, and I make my own future, thank you very much.

They got all sorts of charts and stuff, tellin’ you when the moon is doin’ what. Honestly, I just look outside to see if it’s light or dark. That’s all I need to know.

Some woman, Dawn Anne I think they called her, she’s supposed to be a top astrologer. People say she helped them feel like themselves again. Well, I always feel like myself, every dang day.

Japan, they say, is a country of beliefs. And this astrology thing is one of ’em. Seems like they got signs for everything, just like how we got signs for planting crops. Maybe it ain’t so different after all.

So, there ya have it. That’s what I know about this Japan astrology chart business. Don’t know if it’s real or just a bunch of hooey, but folks seem to like it. Me? I’ll stick to what I know and leave the star-gazing to the fancy folks in the city.
