Well, I don’t know much about this fancy surgery stuff, but I heard folks talking about pickin’ the right day for it, like plantin’ crops by the moon or somethin’. They say the stars and planets got somethin’ to do with it, makes it go smoother, I guess.
Now, some of them smart folks, they look at the calendar and them moon cycles. They say certain days are better than others. Like, they talk about “Shukla Paksha,” sounds like some kinda foreign language to me, but it means the bright half of the moon. And they got numbers, like 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 12, and 13. Guess them are the lucky numbers for cuttin’ folks open. Don’t make no sense to me, but that’s what they say.
Then there’s the days of the week. Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, them’s the good ones, they reckon. Why not Monday or Friday? Who knows! Maybe the stars are takin’ a break them days. And they got these “Nakshatras” too. Ashwini, Mrigashira, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Shravan, and Visakha. Sounds like names of them fancy city dogs, not stars. But if it helps the doctors do their job better, I ain’t complainin’.
I heard tell that Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are good for gettin’ fixed up, you know, so the doctors and nurses can keep a good eye on ya. Seems sensible enough. But some folks, they want more than that. They want to know their own personal star stuff, like where they was born and when. They pay some fancy folks to look at all that and tell ‘em the best day. Like this woman, Susan Levitt, they say she does it by email. Imagine that, stars travelin’ through the wires!
- They say Saturn, that’s a planet, is the boss of cuttin’ folks open. And Saturday, well, that’s Saturn’s day, so it makes sense, I guess.
- But then there’s days to avoid too, and times of day. Like, I heard some folks don’t like doin’ surgery in the evenin’. Maybe the stars are sleepy then, I don’t know.
- And they tell ya to get there two hours early. Two hours! That’s enough time to churn butter and bake a whole pie. But I guess they gotta poke and prod ya before they start cuttin’.
Now, I ain’t got no personal experience with all this star gazin’ surgery stuff. When I had my appendix out, it was on a Tuesday, just happened that way. But I reckon if it makes folks feel better, and maybe helps the doctors a bit, then there ain’t no harm in it. It’s like prayin’, some folks do it, some folks don’t. But in the end, it’s the doctor’s hands that do the fixin’, not the stars.
There’s even places, like this Cafe Astrology, they got calendars and all, tellin’ ya the best and worst days for all sorts of things, not just surgery. Weddings, startin’ a business, plantin’ crops, I bet. Folks always lookin’ for a little help from somethin’ bigger than themselves, I guess. Whether it’s stars, or the moon, or somethin’ else, it don’t matter much. What matters is gettin’ fixed up good and proper.
So, if you’re plannin’ on gettin’ some surgery, maybe you wanna look into all this star stuff. Might help, might not. But it can’t hurt, right? And if it gives you a little peace of mind, then that’s worth somethin’ in itself. Just don’t forget to listen to your doctor too, they’re the ones with the sharp tools, not the stars.
