Well, let me tell you somethin’ about this star business and them witches, you know, the stuff they talk about on the TV sometimes. Folks call it astrology and witchcraft, fancy words if you ask me. But the Good Book, the Bible, it says some things about this, and it ain’t pretty.
Now, I ain’t no scholar, mind you. I just a simple woman who reads her Bible. And from what I gather, messin’ with stars and spirits ain’t right. The Bible says plain as day, don’t go lookin’ at the sky for answers. Deuteronomy 4:19, it warns ya, “Don’t be lookin’ up at the heavens all the time,” somethin’ like that. Means don’t be tryin’ to figure out your life from the stars.
And then there’s them witches. My grandma used to say, “Stay away from them folks messin’ with spirits.” And the Bible backs her up. Exodus 22:18, it says, “Don’t let no witch woman live,” somethin’ fierce like that. And Leviticus, it’s full of warnings too. Don’t be eatin’ blood, don’t be talkin’ to ghosts, and definitely don’t be doin’ no magic. Leviticus 19:26, that’s the one, says no divinin’ or soothsayin’. That’s like readin’ tea leaves or palms, same kinda thing as them stars, tryin’ to see the future.
- The Bible and Stars: The Good Book says stick to God, not the stars.
- Witchcraft and the Bible: Witchcraft is a big no-no, God don’t like it.
- Fortunetelling is Wrong: Don’t try to see the future, trust in God’s plan.
Deuteronomy 18:10-12, it lays it all out. Don’t be sacrificin’ your kids, don’t be doin’ no magic, don’t be lookin’ for signs, and don’t be messin’ with spells. God hates that stuff, says it right there. Anyone doin’ that stuff, well, they ain’t right with God.
Some folks say it’s all connected, you know, the stars and the spells. They say you gotta line yourself up with the universe and all that. But I say, you gotta line yourself up with God. He’s the one who made the universe, He knows what’s best. Why go lookin’ at stars when you got the one who made ‘em?
Now, I heard some folks sayin’ that even the Catholics, they don’t like this star stuff either. They got somethin’ called a Catechism, and it says that lookin’ at the stars to tell the future, that ain’t right. It messes with your free will, they say. Means you gotta make your own choices, not let the stars tell you what to do.
Some other folks, they get caught up in all sorts of things. They readin’ cards, lookin’ at palms, even followin’ some made-up stories about wizards. It’s all the same, tryin’ to find answers in the wrong places. The Bible says stick to God’s word, that’s all you need.
So, what’s the deal with people lookin’ to the stars anyway? Maybe they scared, maybe they lost. But the Bible says, don’t be scared, don’t be lost, trust in God. He got a plan for you, better than anythin’ the stars can tell ya. And them witches, stay far away from them. They messin’ with things they shouldn’t be messin’ with. Just stick to the Bible, that’s what I do, and it’s never steered me wrong.
Remember this: God’s word is stronger than any spell, brighter than any star. Trust in Him, and you’ll be alright. Don’t go chasin’ after shadows and whispers, hold tight to the truth. That’s what the Bible teaches, and that’s good enough for me.
