Alright, let’s talk about this Mars thing in astrology, whatever they call it… “mars friction astrology.” Sounds fancy, but I’ll make it plain as day, just like how we talk back in the village.
What’s this Mars all about, huh?
Well, they say Mars is all about action, like when you gotta get up and do somethin’. You know, like gettin’ the crops in before the rain, or chasin’ a chicken that’s tryin’ to escape. It’s that fire in your belly, they say. And this Mars, it likes bein’ in some places more than others. Like, they say it’s real happy in Aries and Scorpio. Aries, that’s like the start of things, they say. You gotta push hard to get things goin’, like startin’ a fire on a cold mornin’. It takes a bit of a rub, you know, friction, to get that flame going.
Now, this Mars, it ain’t so happy in Taurus and Libra. Don’t ask me why, those city folks and their fancy names. Just know it’s like a hen tryin’ to lay an egg in a doghouse, doesn’t quite fit, you see.
Mars fightin’ Mars? What’s that now?
- Sometimes, these Mars folks say, they get into fights with each other. They call it “square aspect” and “Mars square Mars in synastry.” Sounds like a hen fight to me.
- When that happens, things get… well, let’s just say “interesting.” You might have trouble at home, y’know, with the kids or the old man.
- Or maybe you gotta deal with folks who just can’t make up their minds. Like that time my nephew couldn’t decide if he wanted beans or potatoes for supper, drove me up the wall, he did!
- But sometimes, it can be good too, like gettin’ a burst of energy to fix up the house, like when I finally decided to fix that leaky roof after years of nagging.
They got these books and websites, like that “Cafe Astrology” thing, that tell you all about where Mars is in your “chart.” Chart? Sounds like somethin’ you hang on the wall, but they say it’s somethin’ about the stars when you were born. Don’t ask me, I was born in the back room, no stars in sight, just the midwife and a whole lotta yellin’.
Strong Mars, Weak Mars, What’s the Diff?
Now, some folks say Mars can be strong or weak, like a good cup of coffee or a watered-down one. They say it’s strongest in Capricorn. And it’s also good in Aquarius, Aries, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Pisces. Don’t ask me what all them names mean, sounds like a bunch of gibberish to me. But if your Mars is strong, I guess that means you got a lot of get-up-and-go, like me chasin’ that runaway pig last week.
But if it’s weak, like in Libra or Taurus, well, maybe you’re more like my old dog, sleeps most of the day and only gets up to eat. They say a weak Mars might mean you don’t have much energy or you have trouble standin’ up for yourself. Reminds me of that time my neighbor tried to take my chickens, had to give him a piece of my mind, weak Mars or not.
So what’s all this friction mean then?
Friction, well that’s just another word for rubbin’ up against somethin’. Sometimes it’s good, like when you rub two sticks together to start a fire. Sometimes it’s bad, like when your shoes rub your feet raw. And that’s what this Mars friction is all about. When Mars is in a tough spot, or bumpin’ heads with another Mars, it’s like a rock in your shoe. It’s gonna cause some trouble, some irritation.
But sometimes, that trouble is what you need to get movin’. Like I said before, you need friction to start a fire. And maybe you need a little bit of Mars friction to get you goin’ too. Maybe it’s that push you need to finally leave a bad situation, or stand up for yourself, or just get out there and do somethin’ instead of sittin’ around like a lump.
In the end, it’s all just stars and planets, far away and doin’ their own thing. But folks like to think they got somethin’ to do with our lives. Maybe they do, maybe they don’t. But one thing I know for sure is, you gotta have some fire in your belly, some get-up-and-go, no matter what them stars are doin’. You gotta work hard, be strong, and don’t let nobody push you around. And if you got some Mars friction in your life? Well, just take it like a grain of salt, and keep on movin’.
